Foot Mobilisation Techniques

During our assessment of your feet and lower legs we may find that certain joints have become ‘stuck’ or ‘locked’; this is known as joint subluxation. When subluxation has occurred, the muscles that cross these joints cannot work properly and may appear to be weakened. Subluxation also limits the joints ability to move through their usual range and the quality of movement deteriorates.

Foot Mobilisation Techniques (FMT) are helpful for the correction of joint movement, quality and range and there is often an immediate improvement in muscle function and a decrease in the painful symptoms.

FMT can be used for people of all ages and activity levels. We use FMT in the treatment of acute and chronic conditions such as:

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Generalised aching or stiff feet and/or legs

A program will be tailored to your needs and usually consists of multiple treatments over a short period. The mobilisation program is complimented by home exercises and stretching.

All our FMTs have been developed and taught by healthcare professional Ted Jedynak. Please see the link below
